Terms of Service

01.The service

X-Scribe records meetings through its Chrome extension or its web app, after you press Start, and uses AI to produce a transcript, notes and suggested questions. How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy.

02.Your account

Keep your sign-in details and keys safe and do not share them. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

03.Recording and consent

In the extension and the web app, X-Scribe records only after you press Start, and recording stops when you press Stop, close the tab, leave the call, or stop sharing the tab.

You are responsible for telling the other meeting participants that the meeting is being recorded and transcribed, and for getting any consent that the laws that apply to you or to them require. Recording and data protection laws differ by country and state; depending on where you and the participants are, these may include, for example, India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the GDPR, and laws that require every party to a call to agree to it being recorded. X-Scribe does not give legal advice; if you are unsure, ask your own adviser.

04.Acceptable use

You must not:

• record anyone unlawfully, or use X-Scribe to break any law;
• upload resumes, documents or other people's personal data you have no right to share, or use interview features to discriminate unlawfully;
• use share links to publish meetings that participants would not expect to be made public, or to share someone else's data unlawfully;
• use the service to harass, abuse or harm others;
• reverse engineer the service, or try to get around its limits or security;
• overload the service or interfere with other people's use of it.

05.Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and notes stay yours. You give X-Scribe permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.

06.Share links

You can share a finished meeting through a link that anyone who has it can open, showing the parts you choose. You decide who gets the link and you are responsible for what you share and with whom, including making sure you are allowed to share it. Interview details, transcripts and recordings are shown only to the signed-in people you list. You can set a link to expire and turn it off at any time, but we cannot take back what someone has already seen, copied or downloaded.

07.AI output

Transcripts, notes, translations, suggested questions and interview assessments are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them. An interview assessment is only an aid: hiring decisions are yours, and should not be made on the AI's output alone.

08.Plans and billing

• Each plan gives a number of recorded minutes per month and a number of seats. A free allowance is available, as shown on the pricing page.
• Monthly allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC).
• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe or Razorpay, or by invoice paid offline (bank transfer or UPI).
• You can cancel a card plan at any time. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
• For an offline payment you upload a proof of payment and the UTR or payment reference. The plan starts only when our staff have checked and approved the payment, and we may reject a payment we cannot verify. A renewal invoice is sent before the period ends. If it is not paid by its due date and a short grace period (a few days, shown on the invoice), the plan ends and the account moves to the free plan.
• When a plan ends or expires, your meetings and notes stay in your account; the free plan's limits then apply.
• Coupon codes give a plan free for a set number of days. A code can be used once per person and once per workspace, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash, and may not be available to every account (for example a workspace on its own agreed terms). We may withdraw a code or stop offering it at any time. When the free days end the account goes back to the free plan; nothing is charged and nothing renews by itself.
• Plan changes may be prorated by the payment provider.
• Prices are shown on the pricing page. They may change, with notice, from the next billing period.

09.Availability

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

10.Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

11.Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, X-Scribe is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including lost recordings, interruptions, or mistakes in AI output.

12.Changes and contact
